Adoption Of TPMS Leads To Owner Acceptance Of Slow Leaks

While the adoption of tire pressure monitoring systems in all vehicle models has resulted in an increase in the reported number of slow tire leaks, owner acceptance of the problem also has increased.



Valvoline Expands Engine Guarantee, Launches New Ads

Ashland Inc., parent company to Ashland Consumer Markets and Valvoline, has expanded the Valvoline Engine Guarantee program. Originally available only to vehicles with 75,000 miles or less, the mileage threshold has been increased to 125,000 miles. To participate, consumers must register their vehicle at valvoline.com and use Valvoline motor oil regularly.



AutoNation Q1 Parts & Service Revenue Up Slightly

Ft. Lauderdale, FL-based AutoNation, which bills itself as America’s largest auto retailer, reported that its parts and service business increased 0.9 percent to $539.80 million in the first quarter of 2010.

Old Dominion Recognized As ASE-Certified Training Provider

Thomasville, NC-based Old Dominion Freight Line has been recognized as an ASE training provider, making it the first less-than-truckload carrier to earn such an honor for its instructor-led training program.
